If you are looking to apply to the University of Toronto but you are concerned about the English proficiency requirements, you may be interested in the International Foundation Program (IFP).
IFP is a unique offering that combines conditional acceptance to the University of Toronto with intensive English language and academic skills development instruction, combined with for-credit courses. The IFP is available to academically qualified international students whose English fluency scores do not meet the University of Toronto’s direct entrance requirements.

The Pre-University Programs are all great in-person programs to challenge you before your first year at the University of Toronto. We also offer a variety of online courses throughout the year with more offerings during July for students who are not able to travel to Toronto.
For students who have been admitted into the Faculty of Arts & Science, we’re offering the Arrive Ready online modules that’ll focus on communication and university skills essential to any undergraduate student.

The Youth International English Program (Youth IEP) would be a great fit for you! The Youth IEP is a summer camp suitable for students (ages 12 – 17) of all English language ability levels, from beginner to advanced, and provides customized educational, social, and cross-cultural experiences that develop students’ English language ability and sense of belonging to a global community. For more information, please see our Youth IEP page. Please note that as you are between the ages 12 and 14, you will only be eligible for some of the courses offered.

The Pre-University Programs (Pre-U) would be a great fit for you! Designed for students with advanced levels of English, these innovative and forward-thinking programs provide the opportunity for students to immerse themselves at Canada’s premier university and gain valuable skills and experiences.
Unfortunately, we do not offer non-residential in-person programs for students ages 15-17. However, we do offer online courses throughout the year and you can find more information about those here.
The International English Program (IEP) is for you!
From General English Course to English for Global Business, the IEP offers a variety of Morning and Afternoon Courses that are designed to meet the educational goals of students of all English abilities, from beginner to university level.
Unfortunately, we are not currently offering any online courses for students younger than 15 years old. We hope to see you in the future!

Unfortunately, we are not currently offering online English courses. However, we do offer an in-person summer program called the Youth International English Program (Youth IEP). The Youth IEP is an all- inclusive program that offers students ages 12-17 of all English levels an immersive English experience while exploring the city of Toronto.
- We have a variety of online courses such as the Global Citizenship Challenge or the Perspectives on Global Health courses will be a great fit for you! Each course will be a small class group and will provide students opportunities to work with other students from around the world under the guidance of U of T Instructors.
