Discussions Without Borders offers participants the chance to engage in casual conversation with students from around the world in a supportive, inclusive and diverse environment. The class will open with structured discussion activities led by an instructor from UofT’s International Programs. Students will then move to breakout rooms to take the conversation in their own direction, and will be joined by a UofT student facilitator. Discussion topics will be chosen based on general interest, and student suggestions are welcomed. The maximum class size is 15 students. An individualized speaking level assessment can be provided if the student requests it.

This course is offered online. To benefit from the course, students will need to participate in a 90-minute live class and converse with both instructors and peers. A language level of CEFR B1/IELTS 4.5 is recommended in order to feel comfortable participating in Discussions Without Borders.
