For some International Summer Academy and Online Learning programs and courses, there are some recommended or required English levels. Refer to the below table for the English Test equivalencies.

Some programs may require students to submit a copy of their English proficiency test scores. For requirements of each program, please see the requirements section below.

IEP Requirements

 

While there are some courses with a minimum English requirement, students are not required to submit English proficiency test results. Students are expected to self-identify their level and apply for the course(s) they believe are the most appropriate for their level and interest. All students will be taking a placement test on their first day of class.

Pre-U REQUIREMENTS

 

In order to attend any of the Pre-University Programs, students must have a strong level of English. The programs include:

If you have been studying in an English language institution for 2 years or more:

You do not need to submit proof of English proficiency. Please indicate on your application what school you have been attending.

 

If you have been studying in an English language institution for less than 2 years:

You will be asked to submit proof of English proficiency. If you currently have an English proficiency test result (eg. IELTS, TOEFL, Duolingo, etc.), you may be asked to provide a copy of your results as part of your application. If you do not already have an English test score, please contact us and we can provide some recommendations.
