It’s Global Citizenship Program 2024
This work is made possible by the efforts of students in PRU039H1S. Working within a Global Citizenship Educational framework, and focusing on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, specifically UN SDG2 Zero Hunger, participants use design thinking to explore and generate solutions to a complex problem affecting our global community. According to the UN SGD Report 2023 “more than 600 million people worldwide are projected to face hunger in 2030.” Through this course and its course project, which includes the GCP podcast, an explanatory infographic, and learner-centred talk, we have explored elements of Global Citizenship as they relate to Food Insecurity, such as the root causes of this problem, the people who are affected the most, and possible solutions employed by various societies and organisations.
Season 2 of the GCP podcast on food security has been fully released! Episodes included so far involve Session A with Kerstin Sandstrom; Session B with Jelena Vasic and Maria Mahmoudian; and finally Session C with Jelena Vasic and Ranjani Ramesh!
