We are committed to maintaining appropriate policies and procedures, following bylaws and guidelines as set out by the Canadian federal, provincial, and municipal health authorities, as well as those set out by the University of Toronto, for the safe operation of our on-campus program offerings in the Summer of 2022.   

The health and safety of our students is our main priority. Our team is devoted to ensuring that we can provide the same enriching and fun programs in a safe manner. Here are a few things we are changing for this year:   

  • Small class and program sizes 
  • Guaranteed single rooms (for those staying in residence) 
  • Increased deep cleaning protocols for shared spaces  
  • Following all regulations set forth by the University of Toronto and the Government of Canada.   

The International Programs Office reserves the right to cancel, change, amend, and update the International Summer Academy offering within reason due to unforeseen and unavoidable circumstances related to COVID-19, Canadian public health by-laws, and University of Toronto requirements.

Cancellations & Refunds

Once you apply, an invoice for your outstanding balance will be sent to you with your acceptance package. You will have until the Final Payment Deadline to pay your full fees. The registration fee will hold your spot in the program until you complete your payments.

If you decide to cancel your registration, please refer to the refund deadlines. The registration fee and the residence deposit fee (if applicable) are non-refundable. After the 50% refund deadline, all program fees are non-refundable.


Refunds may only be returned to the same method of payment. Credit card payments will be returned to the same credit card number. When paying by credit card, please ensure that your credit card can accept refunds.

Wire transfers will also be returned to the same account, and additional documents may be required. A CAD $30 fee will be deducted to cover bank fees. Please note that wire transfer refunds may take 3 weeks to be processed.

Visa Refusals

In a case of a visa refusal, we can provide a full refund (excluding the registration fee and residence deposit) regardless of the deadlines upon receiving a copy of the official visa refusal letter from the Canadian immigration office (IRCC). All refund requests must be submitted by email by September 1, 2022 to be processed.
