        • The International Foundation Program (IFP) is a unique offering that combines conditional acceptance to the University of Toronto with intensive English language and academic skills development instruction, combined with for-credit courses.         • The International English Program (IEP) offers students (18 years and older) the opportunity to study English with others from around the world. The IEP is available for students of all English levels, and provides customized educational, social, and cross-cultural experiences where students from over 30 countries develop a sense of belonging to a global community while improving their English language skills.

      • Youth International English Program
        • The Youth International English Program (Youth IEP) offers different courses of study designed to meet the educational goals of a wide variety of youth students. The Youth IEP is a summer camp suitable for students (ages 13 - 18) of all English language ability levels, from beginner to advanced, and provides customized educational, social, and cross-cultural experiences that develop students’ English language ability and sense of belonging to a global community.

        • University of Toronto, New College offers high school students (15 – 18 years) a variety of Pre-University programs during the summer months.       Can I opt-out of the health insurance?

      No – all Youth IEP students are required to have health insurance coverage through the program.

      Will I have a bathroom in my residence room?

      No – the New College Residences are dormitory-style. There are shared single-gender washrooms available on each residence floor.

      Will I need to bring my own bedding and pillow if I live in residence?

      No – all the residence rooms will already have linens, a blanket, and a pillow. If you require additional bedding, you are welcome to bring your own.

      Am I required to live in residence?

      Yes – the residence component of the program is mandatory.

      Can I opt-out of activities & excursions?

      No – the Youth IEP is an all-inclusive program, and all activities and excursions are mandatory.

      I have family in Toronto – can they visit me during the program?

      Yes, of course! If you have family members who would like to visit you during the program, please ask your parents to email study.english@utoronto.ca to request sign-out permission at least 1 business day in advance.
