Course: Perspectives on Global Health
Group: Winter 2021
Project Name: Refugees in Turkey
Team Members: Selina, Joanna, Kelly
The students in this group tackled the barriers facing the refugee population in Turkey, whether it’s poor sanitation, lack of access to healthcare, lack of access to education or poor overall living conditions. They explored the ongoing challenges while also analyzing the current solutions in place such as foreign aid and economic agreements between Turkey and the European Union. The group concluded that while policy and legislation are critical to progress, providing equitable access to healthcare and education are equally as important.
